Duties:

• Researchingtax or legal-related issues and documenting findings,including reviewingtax records and applications for accuracy and completion
• Gathering, evaluating, and presenting metrics related to assigned project, includingcalculating sales, excise, income, or other taxes in order to makeassessments
• Contacting taxpayers by phone and/or mail to obtain or clarify information, negotiating payment terms, collecting tax payments, and explaining tax forms, laws, and policies
• Interpreting and applying federal and state tax codes for personal, business, and corporate taxes

Requirements:

• A Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited institution
• A four-year combination of training, education, and experience in accounting, taxation, or finance work is acceptable
• Strong analyticskills
• Knowledge of basic accounting practices
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency
