Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation Outpatient Clinic Nurse Trainer in Bethel, Alaska

Position Summary: Utilizing a collaborative process, the Nurse Trainer will assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate options for the training required to meet the needs of all new Outpatient Clinic staff including but not limited to (OPC) Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Support Staff. The Nurse Trainer helps identify, through the continuum of training, optimal functioning of OPC employees and department needs, using communication and available resources to promote quality outcomes. The Nurse Trainer is responsible for developing the knowledge and skills of the OPC team to ensure the team can meet current and future objectives and deliver quality care and nursing services to the patients of the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta Region. The Nurse Trainer will be responsible for the entire onboarding process of all new OPC employees, including coordinating appropriate user access, orientation to floor nursing, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) RAVEN training and village travel. In addition to training all new OPC staff listed above, job duties also include working as an OPC Nurse. Utilizing a collaborative process, to plan, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the options and services required to meet each patients needs. Using communication and appropriate utilization of health care resources throughout the continuum of care to promote quality, continuity and a cooperative effort between patients, family members, doctors, nurses, payers, and allied health care workers, community agencies and home care services, thus promoting a smooth journey through the entire span of care. Facilitating the coordinated utilization of resources through the continuum of services while ensuring that available resources are being used for maximization of health outcomes, patient/family satisfaction and financial outcomes for both the patient and the reimbursement source.
