From your PASSION to ours

The role of Driver Manager is to direct the day-to-day activities of Lactalis yard drivers in order to provide a safe and effective way of transporting Lactalis products to and from our distribution centers. The Driver Manager will also have driving responsibility.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Oversee and conduct movement of trailers in yard and to off-site storage locations (local).

• Ensures adherence to all safety programs and leads operations to ensure compliance with all DOT and regulatory standards.

• With support of the Sr. Transportation Manager, establishes productivity goals, operating standards, and manages labor hours.

• Manage and support the truck maintenance schedule.

• Orient, train, and coach team members on safety requirements and compliance. Will conduct daily safety meetings.

• Demonstrate commitment to a safe working environment that promotes the health and wellbeing of all employees and that will further contribute to the Company’s overall performance and success.

• Manage the yard management system and ensure driver compliance and productivity with this system

• Complete required yard audits to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that product temperatures are maintained

• Travel and/or extended or off work hours may be required.

Requirements

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum 5 years experience in transportation, logistics, and/or driving

• 2-3+ years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity

• CDL-A license required

• Clean MVR (driving record) and ability to complete pre-hire DOT drug screening & DOT physical

Skills / Abilities

• Ability to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle and operate in a safe manner

• Ability to operate commercial vehicles, maneuvering at varying speeds and in difficult situations such as inclement weather or tight loading dock areas

• Availability to work a flexible schedule that can be up to 12 hours daily. Preferred flexibility to work both days, nights, and weekends

Salary Description

$75,000 - $ 85,000
