JOB TITLE: Seasonal Facilities SALARY: According to placement on current compensation table TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: TBD EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures for evaluating non-licensed staff REPORTS TO: Facilities Lead SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. None JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education: 1. Actively working toward or completed High School Diploma Experience: 1. Experience in sprinklers, irrigation systems, and general grounds related activities preferred Certificates/Licenses: 1. Valid driver's license JOB EXPECTATIONS: 1. Demonstrates effective organizational, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills 2. Demonstrates punctuality and good attendance 3. Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures, including proper use of equipment 4. Reports all unsafe conditions/activities to supervisor, Human Resources, or Risk Management 5. Follows appropriate District policies and procedures 6. Meets deadlines 7. Performs duties in all weather conditions and in spite of other adverse environmental factors 8. Works flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends as needed 9. Adjust to changing job functions and ambiguous requests in order to complete job tasks 10. Continual compliance with regulations, rules or statutes related to Colorado State Board of Education Rules and Regulations, Colorado Department of Education and Colorado State Law JOB SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Demonstrates the ability to follow assigned instructions and duties, and takes initiative to perform others tasks as necessary ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assists utility crew in construction, repair, and service of sprinkler and irrigation systems 2. Mows and fertilizes as assigned 3. Prepares and applies nutrients as assigned 4. Seeds, sods, and/or landscapes as assigned 5. Performs general grounds work including, but not limited to, fence installation and repair, concrete work, grading, graffiti removal, demolition and hauling, painting, metal work, and light construction 6. Assists utility crew in striping and marking athletic fields and areas correctly as assigned 7. Cleans and maintains vehicles, equipment, and tools as assigned 8. Moving furniture, cabinetry, and boxes as assigned Seasonal Facilities Page 1 | 2 9. Performs snow removal as assigned including, but not limited to plowing, shoveling and removal 10. Models an effective understanding and respect for diversity and inclusion 11. Incorporates legal rights and due process for children with special needs 12.
