HYG is looking for a Process Improvement Engineer or a Senior Process Improvement Engineer!

Reporting to the Director, Global Business Process Improvement, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive sustainable improvement across the organization based on the most significant opportunities related to achieving target market share and bottom line profit. This position can based at any of our locations in Craigavon (Northern Ireland) Nijmegen (Netherlands) or Irvine (Scotland), and is available for Hybrid Working . This role will require 20% travel across our EMEA locations .

Process Improvement Engineer - Key Accountabilities

• Deploys overall Quality and Six Sigma knowledge and concepts to work through initiatives, utilising analytics within the DMAIC framework to accomplish business objectives, improve productivity and enhance product quality at the lowest controllable costs.

• Serve as a dynamic change agent and lead strategic and customer focused business improvement projects by embedding Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.

• Utilises excellent and refined facilitation skills.

• Coach cross functional teams in order to develop their problem solving capability and deliver sustained process improvements helping management achieve their strategic goals and drive measurable financial impact.

• Work across functional and organisational boundaries to analyse and solve problems.

• Mentor Lean Six Sigma employees acting as a cross functional coach and holding teams accountable for maintaining project documentation and ultimately drive project completion.

Process Improvement Engineer - Minimum Qualifications:

• Educated to degree level in a mechanical, electrical or a business related discipline.

• Minimum of 7 years additional experience in a Process Improvement Position.

• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Six Sigma with either Black Belt certification or Green Belt certified with the ability to achieve Black Belt certification within 6 months.

• Previous experience in facilitating meetings to lead a process improvement team or in leading projects across various business segments.

• Excellent communications skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely and utilise influencing skills to gain consensus.

• Experience in delivering training at a cross functional level.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

• Customer focused in defining quality and establishing priorities.

Senior Process Improvement Engineer - Key Accountabilities

• Deploys overall Quality and Six Sigma knowledge and concepts to work through initiatives, utilising analytics within the DMAIC framework to accomplish business objectives, improve productivity and enhance product quality at the lowest controllable costs.

• Serve as a dynamic change agent and lead strategic and customer focused business improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma tools. Utilize excellent and refined facilitation tools.

• Lead cross functional teams in order to deliver sustained improvement to critical manufacturing and transactional processes to help management achieve strategic goals and impact financial results. Work across functional and organizational boundaries to analyze and solve problems.

• Mentor Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt employees acting as a cross functional coach and holding them accountable for maintaining project documentation.

Senior Process Improvement Engineer - Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Business

• Minimum of 7-10 years additional experience in a Process Improvement position at a Six sigma Green Belt Level or Black Belt level.Certification at a Six Sigma Black Belt level required.

• Experience leading projects across various business segments and/or leading a process improvement team.Strong aptitude and skills to collaborate and influence functional leaders to prioritize and execute selected business improvement projects.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely and to facilitate meetings.

• Customer focused in defining quality and establishing priorities.

• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Desirable

• Black Belt certified with supporting project experience.

• Knowledge and understanding of DFT concepts.
