As we grow, we are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, Senior Master Planner to join our federal planning team. Responsibilities The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of developing master plans while working in a collaborative team environment to complete tasks and produce implementable plans that allow our clients to achieve their goals and vision for future development. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently to accomplish tasks to a high standard, while collaborating with project teams to provide exceptional planning-related services for a variety of federal and military clients. Key duties include but are not limited to: Lead, interpret, define, organize, execute, and coordinate planning assignments. Collaborate to develop all aspects of various submittals for federal clients. Actively participate in and facilitate planning workshops/charrettes in the field at project locations, virtually, and/or in the local office. Perform existing conditions assessments, data collection analysis, and research related to projects and clients. Contribute to a collaborative team to produce report narratives, data analysis and charts, mapping, graphics, and other items to meet client and project needs. Conduct site visits to perform analysis, photography, and field evaluations of land uses, facilities, and infrastructure (buildings, roads, parking, utilities, etc.). Proactively pursue new charrette facilitation and report production techniques while keeping current on urban design and master planning practices. Analysis of current planning studies and related research. Assist with the development and mentoring of the planning team. United States and International travel. Qualifications Qualification requirements: Ideal candidates should have a minimum of eight 8 years of experience in federal or military master planning and exhibit knowledge in developing a variety of planning products ranging from Installation Development Plans, Area Development Plans, Installation Planning Standards, Form-Based Codes, Facility Utilization Surveys, Requirements Analyses, Programming Charrette Reports, cost estimating, and DD Form 1391s. US. Citizenship and a U.S. Passport. Undergraduate or graduate degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Geography or related field. Previously demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) Previously demonstrated written and analytical skills. Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Preference will be given to candidates with strong knowledge of: Unified Facility Criteria (UFC) for Master Planning and other UFCs Other Federal and DoD Instructions, Technical Manuals, Executive Orders, etc. Planning data collection and site inventory methods. Planning Workshop Facilitation and Charrette methods. Facility Condition Assessment and Facility Use Survey methods. Calculating Requirements and Authorizations. Cost Estimating DD Form 1391s<
