The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes 200 personnel; fiscal management; communication; technology; legal services; intergovernmental relations; services for the trial courts; and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Chief Administrative Officer Justin P. Forkner, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.

Salary: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $ but may be commensurate with education and/or experience.

About the Job:

The Office of Judicial and Attorney Regulation (OJAR) represents the Disciplinary Commission and the Judicial Qualifications Commission. This position will serve as a part-time intern. This position provides support through a broad variety of programmatic functions that assist the division in completing daily tasks as well as large initiatives.

A Day in the Life:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performing clerical duties

  • Learning technical skills

  • Create and maintain filing systems

  • Scan files into case management systems

  • Fulfilling tasks assigned by a supervisor

What You'll Need for Success:

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe Pro, and Microsoft Sharepoint

    Integrity

  • Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and materials

    Reading Comprehension

  • Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents

    Technology and Tool Usage

  • Learn and adapt to new technologies within the Microsoft Suite as well as Supreme Court systems

    Organization

  • Prepare and maintain complex and confidential records in an automated system

    Service Orientation

  • Look for ways to help people
