Alaskan and Proud Markets is a locally owned and operated Grocery Store headquartered in Ketchikan, Alaska. We are looking for an energetic and innovative person to join our Ketchikan team. This position is for a full time Meat Associate. There is a great opportunity for advancement within the Alaskan and Proud Operations. Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic knife handling skills
• Strong work ethic and dependable
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. regularly
• Ability to stand/walk for a full 8-hr work period
• Basic full body motions: bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, reaching
• Flexibility with work schedule (including weekends and holidays)
• Ability to arrive to work on time ready to start work
• Must be over 18 years of age

*Duties and Responsibilities: *

• Prepping, cutting, packaging Meat Products and following AP recipes
• Assisting and coordinating with Meat Manager
• Cleaning and Maintaining work and merchandising areas
• Merchandising products as directed
• Assisting Front End operations as needed
• Misc. job tasks as assigned by store director or supervisor
• Obtain and keep a current Food Worker Card within 30 days
• Follow and comply with company policies and procedures
• Follow and complies with Health and Safety policies
• Contributing to a Positive Work Atmosphere
