Model: Hybrid (3 days WFO, 2 days WFH)

Overview

Reporting directly into Head of Web Experience, the SEO Manager will have ownership of, and lead SEO strategy and governance for Amazon Operations (EU, MENA and APAC), setting the framework for future success in SEO and beyond.

Key job responsibilities

his role is perfect for a strategic and analytical person with excellent business acumen and a track record for delivering effective customer centric solutions, and will be responsible for:

• Shaping and future-proofing our existing SEO proposition

• Understanding how CRO, UX, Performance Content, Digital PR, Web Analytics and CRM all work together to enhance customer experience and customer journey

• Developing best practice for data-driven consumer centric marketing, with a full funnel approach and a strong consideration of online and offline marketing channels to drive organic growth

• Defining innovative and data-driven SEO roadmaps

• Dive into issues and incidents as they occur, perform ad hoc analyses as needed, and help escalate them to drive to resolution

• Enhancing digital assets from a Technical SEO standpoint

• Managing website and CMS migrations

• Setting up reporting frameworks to monitor performance and drive digital efficiencies

• Managing internal and external stakeholder

• Pursue partnerships with new/untapped digital platforms, working with the rest of the marketing team to develop innovative and effective marketing campaigns

• Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends

• Conducting workshops to drive SEO knowledge and best practice

• Being a thought leader in the space, responsible for raising Talent Marketing's profile across Amazon Operations and the wider organisation through case studies, thought leadership pieces, etc.

• Working alongside a team of smart, nice people across Talent Marketing and Amazon Operations

About the team

Amazon Operations, the heart of Amazon’s customer experience, looks at everything after a customer clicks ‘buy’ to when their item is delivered; from desktop to doorstep. Millions of packages pass through the hands of our Associates every year, and we do a lot to attract, engage, support, motivate and enable the brilliant people who make it all happen.

At the forefront of this effort is the Talent Marketing team; specialists managing media, marketing strategy, candidate experience, data modelling, analytics, reporting, etc. Our goal is to attract thousands of Associates yearly for various operational business lines (fulfilment centres, transportation, and logistics).

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Bristol, BST, GBR | Cambridge, GBR | Edinburgh, MLN, GBR | London, GBR | Manchester, GBR | Swansea, GBR

Basic Qualifications

  • Senior experience in SEO at digital agency or client-side

  • Knowledge of Technical SEO, Speed Improvement, Website Migration, UX and Personalisation

  • Knowledge of Conversion Rate Optimisation, A/B Testing and Landing Page Optimisation

  • Knowledge of Headless CMS

  • Knowledge of Content Tagging, YouTube and Video Optimisation, and Schema Mark-up

  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics

  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, JIRA, GitHub, Asana, etc.

  • Knowledge of tools like ScreamingFrog, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, STAT, Crazy Egg, Hotjar, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have strong basis in SEO and other organic-first initiatives

  • Commercially minded with experience converting product innovations or industry developments into tangible solutions

  • Have capacity to work under pressure and be self-motivated

  • Have strong organisational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once autonomously
