Description We are currently searching for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer in our Oil & Gas - Field Services sector located in Newport Beach, California. This role is crucial in processing and analyzing data to support decision-making processes and business strategies. You will be a part of a collaborative team that leverages data to drive business improvements and optimize performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute SQL queries for data retrieval from SQL Server databases, ensuring efficient processes that support business intelligence and reporting needs.

• Manage database connections and enhance query performance to improve data access and retrieval.

• Utilize Power BI in creating insightful, interactive dashboards and reports.

• Employ DAX measures for efficiency and optimization of data analysis.

• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can influence business decisions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and customize dashboards accordingly.

• Access and analyze data stored in the data warehouse to support comprehensive reporting.

• Coordinate with IT and data teams to understand data warehousing strategies and structures.

• Assist in the design and implementation of data warehousing solutions as needed.

• Use your knowledge of BusinessObjects Technologies, Analytics, Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Stored Procedures, Azure SQL Database, MySQL Database, SQL Queries, SQL Reporting, SQL Server Analysis, SQL Server Business Intelligence, Microsoft Power BI, Dax Technologies, and Data Warehousing. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) Engineering

• Proficiency in BusinessObjects Technologies is required

• Strong background in Analytics is a must

• Extensive knowledge of Business Intelligence Technologies is needed

• Ability to create and understand Business Requirement Documents

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server is a necessity

• Proficiency in SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services is required

• Must have experience in writing SQL Stored Procedures

• Experience with Azure SQL Database is necessary

• Proficiency in MySQL Database is a requirement

• Ability to write and understand SQL Queries is needed

• Experience in SQL Reporting is a necessity

• Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis is required

• Proficiency in SQL Server Business Intelligence is a must

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI is needed

• Knowledge of Dax Technologies is a requirement

• Experience in Data Warehousing is necessary

• Must have knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing (BI DW)

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team is necessary

• Must have a proactive approach and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
