The Gagnon lab is seeking a lab technician. The lab technician will gain expertise with a variety of routine laboratory tests and procedures, including molecular cloning, CRISPR, sequencing, microinjections, microscopy, and animal husbandry. RAs will also oversee maintenance of zebrafish lines, maintain accurate protocols and records of results, purchase lab supplies, and oversee equipment maintenance. As time and expertise permits, RAs will conduct their own part-time research projects and contribute to publications.This position provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to participate in an active research lab and conduct research. It is an ideal role for a candidate who is interested in pursuing graduate or medical school after working in the laboratory.
