We are currently searching for a highly motivated Senior Specialist, Family Strategy and Programming who will assist the Manager with enhancing the family and youth experience; play key role in strategy development and tactical execution to increase the family value proposition; collaborate with various internal departments to identify opportunities for market growth; serve as an advocate for guests traveling with children and multi-generational families; collaborate with various internal departments (Commercial Planning, Marketing, Hotel, Technical, Sales) to help align youth/family initiatives across the Company.

  • Supports Manager in identification of areas for potential business development and capital investment; helps to manage projects by coordinating action plans and organizing stakeholders; conducts research and analysis to create business cases. Assists with infrastructure and technical design, plan reviews, market research, budgets, data analysis, and coordination with internal departments (Hotel, Marketing, Technical, Public Health, Safety, Legal, Access).

  • Oversees permanent and seasonal staff rotations.

  • Supports OCEAN Medallion implementation as it relates to families and the Youth Program operations; initiates concepts to enhance the family experience within OCEAN.

  • Oversees implementation of new and existing programs; develops detailed operational guidelines; coordinates with Purchasing and Supply Chain for procurement and distribution of supplies; develops experimental trials and monitors effectiveness; develops training plans for staff.

  • Maintains Policies and Procedures; communicates to vessels on changes; provides clarification and interpretation of policies when needed; ensures compliance with P&Ps and HESS-MS.

  • Optimizes the guest experience by pursuing opportunities for new and innovative programs; supports existing programs and conducts quality assurance.

  • Communicates and complies with HESS-MS for a steady operation; supports the success of shipboard audits; conducts necessary risk management due diligence in accordance with safety, public health, legal and medical prior to the delivery of all programs.

  • Monitors the product delivery on a regular basis via reports, feedback, eOBE analysis, and in person inspections and ensures the highest possible standards.

  • Maintains consistent communication with vessels and provides ongoing support in terms of P&P clarification, supplies procurement, program implementation, and operational assistance; monitors eOBE dashboard and end of voyage reports, to compile reports for Manager.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the travel and/or hospitality industry; experience in project management, operations, and team management required.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop products and services within fiscal constraints.

  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and re-prioritize on a daily basis.

  • Detailed knowledge of the cruise, hotel, theme park or travel industries.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Passion for innovation, entertainment, and hospitality; desire to create memorable experiences for our guests.

  • Work beyond normal business hours will be required occasionally to support business needs, projects or operational support that may be required outside of normal business hours or on weekends.

  • Up to 20% domestic and international travel.


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Background in teaching, recreation programs, and youth entertainment.
