We are currently searching for a highly motivated Sr. Revenue Analyst who will implement pricing and promotional initiatives in to stimulate demand and optimize ticket revenue. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities –

Pricing and Revenue Optimization

  • Lead analyst for a dedicated deployment and/or market, maximizing revenue opportunities

  • Recommends and implements pricing initiatives for communications to consumers and travel agents, such as direct mail and regional promotions

  • Monitors booking performance of voyages vs. targets and makes recommendations for course correction as needed

  • Ensures optimization of revenue by managing promotion availability, raising fares or adjusting inventory availability.

  • Ensures pricing is created in the Polar reservation system to support the international product by sourcing passengers from across the world

  • Manages the process of building all promotions, in conjunction with the yield department, and ensures they are proofed and open for sale on time.

Analytical Approach and Review

  • Analyzes booking trends and pace by reviewing week over week pace and year over year data to initiate new pricing strategies.

  • Uses Revenue Management Systems and other data analyses to support strategies and proactively identify opportunities for revenue growth

  • Sets intra-day inventory limits for assigned voyages in POLAR reservation system by opening/closing space as needed.

  • Monitors booking performance of voyages vs. targets and makes recommendations for course correction as needed.

Market Management / Marketing and Sales Coordination

  • Provides commercial direction and focus for weekly marketing communications or to help grow a market internationally

  • Reviews sales activities in all markets for assigned product and deployment and initiates post-launch pricing to ensure demand creation opportunities are realized.

  • Develops and distributes weekly pricing minutes and reviews direct marketing for message and prices to ensure proper implementation.

  • Work with wider product teams on sourcing strategies maximize revenue opportunities either in North America or Internationally

  • Reviews marketing collateral for brand messaging and content to ensure global brand continuity.

  • Responds to customer service for pricing and inventory related questions via phone and e-mail.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or related field or equivalent work experience

  • 5 years of related experience in revenue management, market planning and/or analysis

  • Prior cruise industry experience in international markets is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to apply analytical skills, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Access

  • Experience in Tableau, Business Objects a plus

  • Working knowledge of computerized yield/revenue management and database management systems
